Assistant / Sales Development Representative


The Sales Development Representative / Assistant is responsible for identifying, contacting, and qualifying potential customers for the sales team. This role involves researching prospective clients, initiating outbound communications, and setting appointments or demos for senior sales team members. The representative will also assist with administrative tasks, maintaining customer records, and supporting the sales team’s overall efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Research and identify potential clients through various channels, including online research, social media, industry events, and networking.
  • Outbound Communication: Initiate contact with prospects via phone calls, emails, and social media to introduce the company's products/services and identify their needs.
  • Qualifying Leads: Engage with prospects to assess their interest and determine if they meet the criteria for further sales engagement.
  • Appointment Setting: Schedule meetings, demos, or calls between qualified leads and the senior sales team members.
  • CRM Management: Update and maintain accurate records of all interactions and activities in the company’s CRM system.
  • Sales Support: Assist the sales team with administrative tasks, such as preparing sales materials, managing calendars, and tracking sales performance metrics.
  • Follow-up: Ensure timely follow-up with leads and nurture relationships with prospects who are not yet ready to make a purchase decision.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new opportunities for the sales team.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to align outreach efforts with current campaigns and messaging.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a sales development, customer service, or administrative support role, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Familiarity in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Familiarity with lead generation tools and techniques, including social media platforms and email marketing.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Highly organized with excellent time management abilities.
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Ability to handle rejection and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Additional Qualifications: A strong interest in sales and business development, with a desire to grow into a more senior sales role.

Working Conditions:
