Log Files

Techellence follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

Like any other website, Techellence uses 'cookies.' These cookies are used to store information including visitors' preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. Privacy Policy for Handling Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)

Introduction

We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) in accordance with the applicable U.S. Federal Government requirements, including the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) framework. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect CUI when providing services related to U.S. Government contracts and how we comply with CMMC requirements.

1. Information We Collect

In the course of conducting our business and fulfilling our obligations to government contracts, we may collect, store, and process the following types of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI):

• Personally Identifiable Information (PII) as defined under applicable federal laws.
• Sensitive data such as export-controlled technical information, defense-related project data, or other forms of CUI that require safeguarding under Federal guidelines.

This information may be collected via:

• Secure online platforms.
• Physical documents provided by authorized personnel.
• Direct interaction with U.S. government representatives and contracting parties.
2. Use of Controlled Unclassified Information

The CUI we collect is used solely for:

• Performing contractual obligations with U.S. government entities.
• Complying with U.S. Department of Defense and other federal agency requirements.
• Enhancing the security and compliance measures related to CUI handling.

We do not use CUI for commercial purposes, data mining, or for any activities that fall outside the scope of our contracts with the U.S. government.

3. Security Measures

We implement a comprehensive set of security controls as required by the CMMC framework to safeguard CUI. These include:

• Access Control: Limiting access to CUI to authorized personnel only, through identity verification, multi-factor authentication, and least-privilege principles.
• Encryption: Using encryption protocols such as FIPS 140-2 compliant methods for CUI both at rest and in transit.
• Audit and Monitoring: Continuous monitoring of systems and auditing access to CUI to detect and respond to unauthorized access or data breaches.
• Data Minimization: Collecting and retaining only the CUI necessary for fulfilling contractual obligations.

Our systems are configured to prevent unauthorized access, ensure data integrity, and meet the logging and auditing requirements specified in CMMC Level 3 or higher.

4. Data Retention and Disposal

We retain CUI only for as long as is necessary to fulfill contractual obligations or to comply with legal or regulatory requirements. After this period:

• Data Disposal: CUI is disposed of in a secure manner, including data wiping and physical destruction of hard copies, in compliance with federal regulations (e.g., NIST SP 800-88).
• Return of Information: When required, we will return CUI to the appropriate U.S. government authority following contract completion.
5. Third-Party Disclosure

We do not disclose CUI to third parties except:

• As required by federal contracts or with U.S. government authorization.
• To subcontractors who have been approved by the U.S. government and who maintain appropriate CMMC compliance.

In cases where disclosure to a third party is necessary, we ensure:

• The third party is subject to the same security requirements under the CMMC framework.
• All disclosures are logged and reviewed as part of our auditing process.
6. Rights and Obligations of Data Subjects

Individuals whose PII is included in CUI may have certain rights regarding their information. To ensure compliance with applicable federal laws, we:

• Respond to requests for access, correction, or deletion of personal information.
• Provide notification of any data breach or unauthorized disclosure in compliance with DoD and federal regulations.
7. Incident Response

In the event of a cybersecurity incident involving CUI:

• We will immediately activate our Incident Response Plan in accordance with CMMC and DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement) requirements.
• We will notify the appropriate authorities, including the Defense Industrial Base Cybersecurity Program (DIBNet), and take appropriate measures to mitigate and remediate the incident.
8. Compliance with Legal Requirements

We comply with all relevant U.S. federal laws and regulations governing CUI, including:

• Executive Order 13556, establishing the CUI program.
• DoD 5200.48 Controlled Unclassified Information Policy.
• DFARS 252.204-7012 and associated clauses for safeguarding CUI.
• NIST SP 800-171, outlining required security measures for CUI in non-federal systems.

Our cybersecurity framework is aligned with the CMMC requirements, and we regularly undergo assessments to ensure compliance with the appropriate level for safeguarding CUI.

9. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as required to reflect changes in legal obligations or our cybersecurity practices. We will notify all clients and government partners of significant changes and ensure continued compliance with all federal regulations regarding CUI.
